Beyond Judgement: Ch 4:2-6

Although this is a short reading it is jam packed with wonderful images of what will come when the Lord has judged his people.

There are 4 major images including, the branch of the Lord, a fruitful land, the holy city and a canopy of glory. What do each of these images show about what the Day of the Lord will look like? And how do these images relate to other parts of the Bible (in particular consider the Exodus and the use of the branch in the NT)?

Today’s Prayer Suggestions

1.Praise God for the promise of the Branch of the Lord who will bring beauty and glory being fulfilled. Give thanks that He will make His people holy and dwell among them with His protective presence.

2. Pray that we might welcome newcomers and warmly include them in church ministries and relationships
