The apostles could have felt discouraged by the betrayal of Judas, yet Peter’s use of Psalm 69:25 and 109:8 shows how they saw in him the fulfilment of the Scripture. Judas proved to be an enemy of God and so suffered the fate of God’s enemies as described in these Psalms.
