DAY 11: 2 Timothy 2:20-26

Day 11: 2 Timothy 2:20-26

Paul brings in another illustration in today’s passage - household articles made from different materials.  What are the materials and what are their purposes? What do you think is Paul’s point here?

Reading the context of verses 20-21 is most likely where the key to understanding this passage lies. Read yesterday’s passage (2:14-19) with today’s (2:22-26) to help find Paul’s point.

Why do you think Paul uses this particular illustration?

As Christians, Jesus is our Master. We are saved by Him, so we want to be useful to Him and ready for good work!  What parts from verses 22-26 should you apply?  Eg. What do you need to ‘flee’ from? What do you need to ‘pursue’  more?

Today’s Prayer Suggestion:

Spend time asking God to prepare you for good works! Spend time repenting of the things you need to flee from also.

Pray for Dan & Rachel Djamaludin: Ask God for wisdom as they navigate church planting support and engage churches in safeguarding children.
