Ministry Area Leader

Role Overview

Potential Scope:

  1. Ministry Area Leader for one or more key ministry areas

  2. Focus on a Congregation or particular People Group

FTE: Part-time to Full-time (to be negotiated based on candidate availability and fit)

The Nature of the Roles
Ann Street Presbyterian Church is prayerfully seeking one or more gospel-hearted leaders to join our pastoral team in 2026. Each team member will take responsibility for one or more of our Purpose Ministry Areas.
We currently have open roles in two key areas:

  1. Evangelism (Mission) – helping us reach the city with the good news of Jesus

  2. Worship (Magnification) – leading our church family to respond in joyful praise and reverent adoration

These roles may also be combined with a Congregation or People Group focus (e.g. youth, young adults, workers, or a specific service congregation). Roles are flexible depending on the experience and gifting of applicants.

Pathway to Church Planting
If you are interested in church planting, the Ministry Area Leader role can serve as a potential pathway. Serving in this role allows us to discern gifting, provide targeted development, and guide you through a formal church planter assessment process. Should the assessment affirm your suitability, and in partnership with Ann Street’s leadership, we would move toward planting a new church in Brisbane’s inner suburbs. If church planting is something you’d like to explore, please indicate this in your application.

Key Details

  1. Applications welcome for both full-time and part-time positions

  2. Exact role scope and FTE will be negotiated with the successful applicant(s)

  3. Remuneration follows the Presbyterian Church of Queensland stipends schedule

  4. Relocation support may be available for interstate candidates

  5. Positions are open from January 2026 (flexibility possible)
