""A Warm Hello From Our Minister  -  Rev Archie MacNicol

Minister ArchieWelcome to Ann Street Presbyterian Church Website.  Thank You for coming to visit us. My name is Archie MacNicol and I am the Minister here at Ann Street.

I hope you will be able to come and join us for a Church service sometime soon. We are right in the heart of the City, and have a great historical building, which has been used to worship God since 1849. It's the earliest Church used continually for worship in Brisbane, so it's steeped in history.

We currently have a huge project underway to restore our historical pipe organ to it's former glory. The French polishers are at work and it's looking magnificent.

I hold 2 services on Sundays. The morning service is a formal style of worship held at 10am. Praise is accompanied by the pipe organ and violin. The demographic of our congregation is spread across all age groups. There is a less formal evening service called Sunday Night Open House (SNOH) which we hold in the upstairs large hall at 6.30pm.

We would love to see you their, so come and be a part of the Ann Street Family, mix with some friendly people who care. There are lots great opportunities to get to know us. We have Morning Tea after the Service on the first Sunday of each month and Supper every Sunday Evening after Worship. There are Bible Study Groups which meet most nights of the week.

We also hold regular social evenings where we let our hair down and have some Fun and Magic with our resident Magician, the Assistant Minister Rev Ron Clark. We also have an Annual Family Getaway at Mt Tambourine, to relax with great friends.

Sunday School is held concurrently with the morning service, with the Children leaving after there own special little address where they guess "What's in the Tartan Bag". Crèche is available for the little ones with registered Blue Card holder to take care of them. There's always some fun to be had with lots of toys to play with.

Special Services are Dedicated to Easter, Anzac Day, Remembrance Day, St Andrew's Day and Christmas. The Governor of Queensland attends the Church on some of our Special Occasion Services.

I trust you will enjoy looking around the site and i look forward to meeting you soon in person. When you come to Ann Street make sure you let on of our friendly greeters know it's your first time with us, so we can give you a special greeting and I can meet you.

Kind Regards,

Archie.

Church

An Invitation From Ann Street Presbyterian Church.

It is hard to find a good church home. All too often going to church seems more like a required ritual than a meaningful time with God and his people. It ends up being something to be endured rather than enjoyed and anticipated.

It doesn't have to be that way though. We believe that a church should be a place where people can sense the presence of God and find refreshment and help for their spiritual journey, where they can belong to a caring group of people who offer encouragement and support, and be a part of a great adventure for God.

That's what a good church is like, and that's our goal for Ann Street Presbyterian Church. From what many in our church tell us, this has been their experience.

If your looking for a new church home, with warm friendship, there is a place for you at Ann Street!
